Chapters are groups of songs that can be played and unlocked through purchases. As of Cytus 7.0, there are 10 main chapters, a hidden album called Cytus Alive that depicts the story of Cytus, and nine side chapters: Prologue, Symphony, Knight, Retro, Timeline, Deemo, L, Night Keepers and Million.
Two new side chapters, Omega, and DJMAX, were added exclusively in Cytus α for the Nintendo Switch.

- Prior to versions that added Chapters V - X as locked IAP, it is optional to purchase separate songs from there for $0.99. This is not applicable to special IAP chapters such as Prologue and Chapter R onwards.
