Hello, I'm Flanqer, and I'm the Wiki Manager for the Cytus Wiki. I introduced myself in the forum, but wanted to drop you a personal message since you're one of the active admins. I'm here to help you and your community, and to be a liaison to full-time Fandom Staff. If you ever have any questions related to the wiki, whether it's about editing, styling, infoboxes, policy, etc, please contact me on my message wall.
This is something I posted on the VOX Diamond page. This has additional information about most of the songs on the song list. Several songs are album cuts coming from various other labels and some are spiritual sequels. Seeing as I rather educate the uneducated, go ahead and take a look at this. If you need to contact me for more info I am on Zenius-I-Vanisher, pigs, or Twitter.
Ugh. I didn't want to think about that too much, though it's likely that we'll have to modify a lot of the pre-existing categories on this site to specify that they relate to the first game, and not the second. A pretty lofty task, though considering that I'm still on winter break, I'm sure I can power though those edits with some music and coffee to assist me.
Here's just an example of what the editing process for the categories will probably look like.
Here are all the categories for the song Visions. I just picked this one at random.
Categories like "Songs" will have to be renamed to specify the game that they're in. In the likely case that renaming the category affects every song that is in that category, we'd have to edit every last song under that category to accommodate the new name.
Some categories will be dependant on the layout of C2. In the case that it doesn't categorize its songs into chapters, for example, we can probably get away with simply editing the descriptions for categories like "Chapter I Songs" to mention that the chapter in question can be found in C1. If there ARE chapters in C2, however, it's the same deal—rename the categories, and edit every last song under those categories.
Some categories can encompass both games without much hassle. For example, if Tsukasa were to release songs in C2, the category "Tsukasa Songs" would only have to be edited to mention that it includes songs from both games in the description.
Some categories might simply have to be deleted in order to avoid the confusion that would predictably come with having two games under one Wikia; categories such as "Songs with changed Difficulty levels", for example. Deleting a category comes with a similar burden to renaming it—every song that was under that category has to be edited.
So, just read your blog (you never cease to entertain me with those), & as Cytus II's release date gets closer, seemingly, I didn't think that you should have to do all of the work when it finally gets here.
So when it's finally released, tell me what to do. I'm good at doing the grunt work. Besides, I have nothing better to do... (& they don't give nearly as much homework in high school as people say)
I should modify that last statement. I didn't mean that I would have to maintain the Wiki entirely by myself; I was just referring to being the figurative owner of it as of now. The admins here are still more than capable of helping me edit the Wiki when Cytus II is released. That being said, however, I still welcome any bit of constructive support, as it is still a tough job to provide solid information for an entire game upon its release.
For the code after "background", you would change it to whatever colour you want the box to be. For the code after "color", you would change it to whatever colour you want the text to be. Hope this helps!
I've heard there's a discord for the wiki, I've played cytus for the last 2 or 3 years and I've been looking for some people that I can share my interest with. If I could have a link that'd be great, thanks.
