[cyTus System]

Welcome to the main block. This round space is the center of the cyTus Virtual Internet; the most elaborate entertainment experience across all virtual cities exists right here. If you would like to visit a specific block, you may ask for related information at the cyTus Core Information Center.

Ivy

That is why I returned. But before that….
[Opens Basicpedia]

[Basicpedia EX]

Welcome! Thanks for using the even more human-like personal guide, Basicpedia EX Service! Ivy! You have used this service for three days in a row. Such a diligent student!

Ivy

I’ll be done soon, but first I need to confirm some information.

[Basicpedia EX] Ivy, you’re such a focused student! Basicpedia is so moved! Please, ask away!

{{{2}}}

Ivy

I would like you to please describe this virtual realm in deatil once more.

[Basicpedia EX]

No problem! “cyTus”, more commonly known as the virtual internet, is an information network that was developed by the A.R.C. technology Corporation. It is the pinnacle experience of humans integration with technology to date! The brain synchronization chip allows the user’s five senses to experience and move around in a virtual space while body remains at rest in the material world…

Ivy

Currently, how many people are using this service?

[Basicpedia EX]

Based on official statistics, cyTus’ daily user count reaches 180 million! Besides Node 13, users from around the world carry out discussion, socially interact, and grow closer together by means of 38,000 Server Blocks!

Ivy

Every one of these blocks is under A.R.C.’s control?

[Basicpedia EX]

Based on 701/12/18’s evaluation report, the total number of blocks that are officially or indirectly controlled by A.R.C. composes 97.3% of all of cyTus. The remaining server blocks are no longer in use by anyone!

Ivy

… No longer used…

[Basicpedia EX]

Correct! A.R.C. has stated that they will continue to improve cyTus user experience and operation efficiency; as such, they periodically remove abandoned server blocks, so that the managed blocks continue to retain the supervision they require!

Ivy

Hmph, is that so? You mean to tell me that the instantaneous connection emitted by a user circulates around many managed block, finally concentrating in the cyTus core, where they are dealt with by A.R.C. and their “server” in the library?

[Basicpedia EX]

Absolutely correct! Ivy, congratulations! You have already achieved the status of cyTus master!
[Footsteps]

Ivy

… From past experiences, the OS space contains backups for all data recorded on the networks of the material world. Humans aren’t even aware of it’s existence…. First, I need to sneak into an abandoned server block where data has concentrated in a large amount. As this data needs to be backed up, I should be able to forcibly interact with the backup mechanism to create an entrance to the OS Space….

[cyTus System]

This is the core information center. Feel free to use the service. Please enter the coordinates you wish to inquire about.

Ivy

…? This smoke….

[Basicpedia EX]

Eh? Ivy, the block you have arrived at is abandoned. No one uses this block anymore!

Ivy

No, based on my calculation, this is my destination.
[Static]

Ivy

As expected…. This smoke is just a way to mask constantly changing visual data. Much like how I mask my account’s data… Very smart, although it didn’t escape my notice.

[Basicpedia EX]

Basicpedia does not quite understand, but it sounds like Ivy is pretty amazing!

Ivy

… “Understand”? Interesting.

[Basicpedia EX]

Ivy?

Ivy

This version of you is indeed much more human like. But still, I’d like to test at what level your knowledge is actually at. Please, try to understand what I am about to say.

[Basicpedia EX]

No problem, Ivy! Basicpedia is listening intently!

Ivy

… These past two days, I have ran around all of cyTus, setting up tiny markers in many server blocks. Using these markers I can view the flow of data in my left eye; they are very much like Luminol humans use to detect bloodstains. In order to not be noticed by Vanessa, I used a human chip to enter cyTus, controlled the times when I made my move, and placed markers in the server blocks with the greatest data flow rates one by one. By now, I can view the flow of data within the entirety of this virtual internet.

[Basicpedia EX]

…?

Ivy

Still don’t get what I’m doing? So long as you observe the data flow in each block, you can understand the structure of the entire program. Take that a step further and pinpoint the location where the data flow is most concentrated…. In this seemingly abandoned and smoky block lies the door that passes into another world.

[Basicpedia EX]

Ivy

What is it?

[Basicpedia EX]

sorry, Ivy. Basicpedia doesn’t know what you’re talking about! URGHHGHHG

Ivy

…. No harm done. For an A.I. you’ve made so much progress in just two years… Just like she said, this is proof that mankind is gradually overcoming these difficulties.
[Closes Basicpedia]

Ivy

The time for chatting is over. Well then… Start the scan.
[Scanning]

Ivy

…! The structure of the space behind this smoke, the skin of these plants… Very much resemble that of the library; Essentially a hidden garden squeezed im between Server Blocks 0 and 1… No, after all, Vanessa is the core of all of cyTus. It shouldn’t be surprised that this resembles a garden…
[Alarm]

[cyTus System]

Sorry, the security level of thus block is of the highest order.. Esteemed user, you do not have the authorization to visit here. Please return to a general social block to prevent your account information from being cancelled.

Ivy

Hmph. Looks like I’ll have to use more aggressive measures.
[Don’s Æsir’s Guise]

[cyTus System]

WARNING: DANGEROUS ACCOUNT DETECTED.

Ivy

….. Æsir appears for one more show … And probably his last.
