Later I heard Nate--a friend at the station, told me that dim-witted classmate who bullied my sister for years had gotten on the Exploration Team and became one of the elite members. When there were issues in the city, they came out and helped resolved them. Think I even know the captain. If my Dad hadn't shown up and I had fired that gun at ten years old... Just thinking about how many people's lives that would have affected makes me unconsciously hesitate whenever I shoot a firearm.
